A journey of my life

This year I didn't take part because as usual, I don't want to get bitten by sea lice again like last year. I also need to take care of Fiza because she insisted to participate despite her back problem. So, I borrow an inflatable canoe from OP Dr Syed Dollah to accompany Fiza in the sea in case anything wrong happens. Luckily, there was nothing bad happened. Fiza managed to complete her swim within the cut-off time.  After the event, we went jalan-jalan around Kuala Terengganu. We slept over in a relative's house for one night before heading back to Kuala Lumpur the next day.

This year I was decided to run a full marathon, probably the one and only marathon this year... Probably I will race in SCKLM again and make it my annual event many more years to come

This year Fiza took part in Sprint Category while I was there just as a photographer

After one of the running sessions at Seri Hartamas with Harum's group, we were lepaking, enjoying roti canai & teh tarik while discussing organizing a riding trip on a bicycle to somewhere. Then Fiza & me mentioned how nice the route Sg. Koyan - Ringlet on a motorbike. Suddenly, they kinda agreed to do this route which I think will be quite challenging because the last 40km near Ringlet, it will be uphill all the way. But since many of them are avid cyclists if not Ironman, they said sap sap sui la... I think it means kacang jer ni. Fiza & I went to Sg Koyan on motorcycles, before that we stopped at Janda Baik to eat durian kampung at OP Doc Shah's orchard and follow with lunch. Then we waited for the rest of the group at Pekan Bentong. Radzy helped transport Fiza's bicycle while I'm volunteering to drive a support car... am I clever or what? Actually, my butts swelled from Audax 200km ride 2 weeks before. I don't think I can sit on a seat post any ...

It was the first time I rode the longest distance in a day just slightly more than 200km. We started from Kapar early in the morning towards Kuala Selangor, passing by Sekinchan then turned right at Sungai Besar heading to Felda Soeharto for a lunch break. After 30 minutes break, we continue cycling to Bestari Jaya and then back to the start line after 12 hours of cycling. I consider it quite an achievement with sore butts after the event. Btw, on the way back Fiza was so tired while riding, she hits the divider. Luckily the damage wasn't so bad. This a reminder to have a good rest before continuing the journey.  

Since our earlier plan was canceled because we have to take Auni & Harraz for school holidays, we decided to go for a honeymoon ride to Cameron Highland instead. I was told one of the best routes to ride our Duke 690R is Sg. Koyan - Ringlet Road. An empty road with many corners and beautiful scenery is the best kind of route for single-cylinder supermotard type of bikes. From KL to Sg. Koyan via Raub is quite a long journey and the full exhilaration starts from the junction at Sg Koyan to Ringlet.  We arrived at Tanah Rata quite late in the afternoon and it was a tropical storm all the way from the dam area until Tanah Rata. We were completely soaked and most of our clothes were also wet. Therefore, we don't have photos near the end before Ringlet & Tanah Rata. We only go out the next day and the traffic was so terrible due to the school holidays. Luckily, we rode our bikes and we can just zigzag in between traffics. BOH Sungai Palas Tea Plantation So ...
