A journey of my life

The following weekend after the trip to Adelaide, Fiza got another day off in Brisbane. Since I had never been to Brisbane before, I joined her trip to Down Under again within a week. Trip to Australia again  Like the Adelaide trip, the flight was at night and we arrived at Brisbane Airport in the morning. After Fiza got her rest at the hotel, we went out looking for lunch. Then we jalan-jalan at the shopping arcade. Around the city center  In the evening, we went out running along the river. The view by the river bank was spectacular. The city is alive at night, unlike Adelaide. There were events and people were busy everywhere. A short run along the river  The next day, we went to Warner Bros. Movie World near the Gold Coast. Joining us were another 2 stewardesses Trista & Rachel but the captain bailed out last minute. It took 1 hour to get there by train. The theme park was full of visitors because it was Saturday. Fiza got a day off in Adelaide at the end of July. Since we never utilize free tickets for family members, I decided to join her. The first time I fly in A333 with her onboard The flight was at night and took about 7 hours. We touched down in the morning. After check-in, Fiza was trying to get some sleep. After midday, she woke up and we explored the city center near the malls' area.  Around Adelaide till nite  The following day, we explored the other side of the city. The weather was nice and the sun shines all day long. We went to the museum, gallery & botanical garden. The next day  Near the end of the day, we decided to go to Glenelg Beach for about 40 mins by tram to catch the sunset. We were lucky, we were on time when we arrived at the beach. It was my first visit to Labuan. Although the island is near Sabah, actually Labuan is Federal Territory. I was joining Fiza because she got a day off in Labuan on Sunday. We went out to the nearest beach in the town for a morning jog. Nice 5-6km run from the hotel. When we get to the hotel, our athlete friend Roy who is based in Labuan was calling and offering to take us out hiking. He came to pick up us at the hotel after 3pm and drove us to a place called the Chimney at Tanjung Kubong. It was a flat trail with a nice view and a historic building called Gedung Ubat which was built by the Japanese Army during WW2. After that Roy took us to climb Bukit Kubong. Many Labuan people come here for a very short steep climb to see the view from the top of the hill. Then we went down to the beach for a cendol. Before we bid farewell to Roy, he dropped us at Medan Ikan Bakar for us to have dinner with other set crews. Thank you Roy for a nice short day trip around Labuan....

When my Sayang had a night stop in JB, I decided to surprise her by riding down to JB just to spend time with her over the weekend. Rode down with my GS. It took less than 3 hours to get to Thistle Hotel JB A rider and a stewardess  💗 Time to go home and she's going to work

Our first race this year since the TMBT last year. Same state Sabah but in a different place, at Kiulu. The view of the 10-15km was fantastic! After that not much to see. However, we managed to take a dip in one of the rivers. So refreshing, although the weather was extremely hot. We finished the race in 15:24hr which is worse than TMBT but we had so much fun. As usual, Fiza left me behind the last 4km before the finish line... :P Enjoyable flight We tried a capsule hotel. Very nice & cheap. We watched Capt Marvel. as well Morning run in KK Race kit pick-up then off to AirBnB at Kiulu Race day. View the first 10km was amazing. Steep elevation in the first half Organizer provided good makan at CP. The weather was extremely hot. More forgiving elevation in the 2nd half, unlike TMBT. We finished in 15 hours ++ We went to Jambatan Tamparuli and had dinner with my RMC junior at KK waterfront. Alhamdulilllah, we always had a great time to...

On Christmas Eve, we decided to ride to one of our IM friends' hometowns in Teluk Intan. His father has a piece of sawah bendang land behind his house.  We traveled on 2 bikes with Auni & Harraz. Going there we took a route via Kuala Selangor. It was an alternative road to Teluk Intan passing through kilometers of paddy field on the left and right of the road. Although it was a long road, the view was so scenic. We played in the tali air and tried to catch fish. It was a fun trip not only for the kids but for both Fiza & me as well.  Thanks to Latip & family for being a great host. Can't wait to visit his kampung again this year.

This year no Ironman race for both of us. So, we decided to go to Langkawi to support our friends who were competing in Ironman and at the same time, we had our long overdue bike trip together. We rode from Sepang to Kuala Perlis in 6 hours to catch Roro Ferry because we brought in the GS onto the island. This is the first time I rode the GS long distance. I rode halfway from home and Fiza rode the bike from Ipoh until after Penang.  It was a very rare experience for a guy to have a lady rides a GS and you are a pillion at the back. She could handle the bike smoothly and at some stretches, she ramped up the throttle to hit 180km/h speed. Yes, she is a speed demon! From Penang onward I took over the bike again. It was so much more fun than driving a car She can handle this beast! At Kuala Perlis, we RV with Syuk & his family. They also drove up from KL because they have 5 kids and it was easier to bring the car onto the island. At Kuala Perlis ...
