A journey of my life

The initial plan was One Night in Bangkok, but we flew earlier so that we can have 2 nights in Bangkok. A good place to shop for cheap clothing and devour Thai food.  When we don't have enough time to spend together at home, we go to travel together.

The following weekend after the trip to Adelaide, Fiza got another day off in Brisbane. Since I had never been to Brisbane before, I joined her trip to Down Under again within a week. Trip to Australia again  Like the Adelaide trip, the flight was at night and we arrived at Brisbane Airport in the morning. After Fiza got her rest at the hotel, we went out looking for lunch. Then we jalan-jalan at the shopping arcade. Around the city center  In the evening, we went out running along the river. The view by the river bank was spectacular. The city is alive at night, unlike Adelaide. There were events and people were busy everywhere. A short run along the river  The next day, we went to Warner Bros. Movie World near the Gold Coast. Joining us were another 2 stewardesses Trista & Rachel but the captain bailed out last minute. It took 1 hour to get there by train. The theme park was full of visitors because it was Saturday. Fiza got a day off in Adelaide at the end of July. Since we never utilize free tickets for family members, I decided to join her. The first time I fly in A333 with her onboard The flight was at night and took about 7 hours. We touched down in the morning. After check-in, Fiza was trying to get some sleep. After midday, she woke up and we explored the city center near the malls' area.  Around Adelaide till nite  The following day, we explored the other side of the city. The weather was nice and the sun shines all day long. We went to the museum, gallery & botanical garden. The next day  Near the end of the day, we decided to go to Glenelg Beach for about 40 mins by tram to catch the sunset. We were lucky, we were on time when we arrived at the beach. I have been dreaming of going on a honeymoon in Bali since the day I got married... I mean since my first marriage in 1999. But I never had a chance to go until the second marriage, although it was 16 months after the actual ceremony...hehe. It was an impromptu action, Fiza decided to go and I just follow her along. She said, let it be a birthday treat for me. The place was so beautiful, we had so much fun together there and we fell in love with each other all over again. People said Nusa Penida is like Bali before it was commercialized. Not many tourists come here, and to get to the tourist spots you have to ride a motorbike or car very far on the treacherous long winding bumpy road. If you never ride a motorcycle, it is not advisable to ride one here, better hire a driver. You also need to be physically fit to explore these places which involved hiking through dangerous steep slopes and stairs. But the view was breathtaking and you forgot all the struggles once you reached the spo...

Dmi never hesitated to join RMC even though he already spent 3 years in SDAR. I met his teachers and many discouraged him from leaving SDAR. I know SDAR is a good school, especially in academics. But I believe he will learn more about life in RMC. I told him to just go for the selection and think about it later if he got the offer. So, the selection took place in RMC for a week in January. It was a very stringent process and only creme-de-creme will be selected to be Putera. Luckily, it was smooth sailing for him and after the final interview, he got the offer. Other than him, my batchmate's son OP Budin also got selected from MCKK. These boys are all coming from good schools. The Komandan has ensured the selected boys will be trained and educated properly to be the best product the college ever produced. Impulse decision for a family ride to Taman Negara. We started the journey from home in the afternoon and arrived at Kuala Tahan around 9pm. The access road from the main road near Jerantut to Kuala Tahan was about 50km distance and it was a scary experience to ride a motorcycle in a dark deep jungle. We rode to Taman Negara Cross Sungai Tembeling to Taman Negara Hiking up Bukit Teresek Boat ride at Sungai Tahan Fish Sanctuary & Lata Berkoh Let's go home!

On Christmas Eve, we decided to ride to one of our IM friends' hometowns in Teluk Intan. His father has a piece of sawah bendang land behind his house.  We traveled on 2 bikes with Auni & Harraz. Going there we took a route via Kuala Selangor. It was an alternative road to Teluk Intan passing through kilometers of paddy field on the left and right of the road. Although it was a long road, the view was so scenic. We played in the tali air and tried to catch fish. It was a fun trip not only for the kids but for both Fiza & me as well.  Thanks to Latip & family for being a great host. Can't wait to visit his kampung again this year.

Happy 1st Anniversary Sayang! You are truly my life’s blessing. You have no idea just how happy you make me. Every day I thank Allah because He cleared the path for us to meet, be friends, fall in love, and get married. I’ve had so many smiles & laughter shared with you during the first year of our marriage. There were also some surprising twists and turns, and ups and downs. I’m not the least bit worried because I know that our love will see us through. Cheers to our first anniversary, and the many more to come with so much love. For the past year, we're together...

Since our earlier plan was canceled because we have to take Auni & Harraz for school holidays, we decided to go for a honeymoon ride to Cameron Highland instead. I was told one of the best routes to ride our Duke 690R is Sg. Koyan - Ringlet Road. An empty road with many corners and beautiful scenery is the best kind of route for single-cylinder supermotard type of bikes. From KL to Sg. Koyan via Raub is quite a long journey and the full exhilaration starts from the junction at Sg Koyan to Ringlet.  We arrived at Tanah Rata quite late in the afternoon and it was a tropical storm all the way from the dam area until Tanah Rata. We were completely soaked and most of our clothes were also wet. Therefore, we don't have photos near the end before Ringlet & Tanah Rata. We only go out the next day and the traffic was so terrible due to the school holidays. Luckily, we rode our bikes and we can just zigzag in between traffics. BOH Sungai Palas Tea Plantation So ...

Fiza & I planned to go on a honeymoon immediately after the wedding but somehow Fiza's kids have to tag along because their father canceled their school holiday trip together. We felt bad for them, so we decided to cancel the honeymoon and bring them to The Haven in Ipoh instead. There were 3 blocks here and one of them is managed by a hotel, there was an infinity pool overlooking a lake and a wooded limestone hill. Our unit faced the lake and the view was fantastic. The unit was huge but a bit expensive if booked at the hotel. Better check Airbnb for a cheaper option. We should have brought along our other 2 kids Ian & Dmi but they were having fun in Italy with the other side of the family.  Peaceful surrounding The place suitable for a family trip Most of the time spent in the pool
